I just went riding for the first time last weekend. I surprised my wife with a two hour trail ride through a state park for our five year anniversary. I’ve always loved horses, but now I’m completely enamored with them.

I wish that there was a socially acceptable way to say, “I’m having a bad mental health day and need you to pay attention to me,” without alienating everyone.

or: “I’m having a bad mental health day and need to be on my own for a while so please don’t be mad if I cancel our plans on short notice.”

Went to the doc. Have to take some pills every night for a week, and eat lot of fiber and drink lots of liquids.
My ascending colon is super inflamed I guess. Had to get xrayed. And have spent the entire day today on the couch, pretty much sleeping all day. And my whole right side, all along my ascending colon still hurts quite a bit.
I just want to be better, and I want to be able to go running, and to yoga :(

Pain

I’ve been having this weird pain all weekend, mostly in my ascending colon, and down into my right kidney area. And I don’t know why, and nothing I’ve tried changes it, so i’m a little scared. Going to the walkin clinic this morning, hopefully doctor has some ideas and its nothing serious.

I’m starting to think, more and more that I’m never going to find a life partner. Partially because I’ve chosen a career life thats far too busy for another person.

On some level, I’m ok with this, and I’ve accepted part of it, and have even embraced it. Another level of me is very, very, very disappointed.
